Hi, I’m Graham Bower. I work with teams and individuals to help them draw out the creativity that we all have inside us and funnel that energy into their work.
As a creative director with 20 years experience in the marketing industry, I’ve had the good fortune to work with some incredibly talented creatives, on some of the world’s most innovative brands. This has given me a unique opportunity to study exactly how creatives do their jobs.
The strategies that I have discovered can be learned and practiced by anyone looking to develop their own creative talent. And now I share these insights with both organisations and individuals, through 1:1 coaching, training workshops, consulting, public speaking and my book: What creatives do, and how you can be one too.
I’m a cancer survivor, having gone through chemotherapy in 2007 and again in 2014. As a result of these experiences, I have developed a keen interest in health and fitness. I’m co-creator of Reps & Sets, an international best selling fitness app for iPhone. And in my spare time, I’m an avid marathon runner and weight lifter.
I regularly talk about my cancer experiences, and how I used NLP techniques to help with my psychological wellbeing during treatment and recovery. Recently, I have delivered talks for both Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Chemotherapy left me with a severe hearing impairment, so I now rely on hearing aids. Which means you may need to shout at me. That’s also why I like to use a lot of visual stimulus in my training workshops, and what led me to develop Shut Up And Draw – a drawing creativity workshop conducted in silence.
